Tough one today!

Tough work out for the big kids today!

5 minute dynamic warm up followed by a 1/4 mile jogging loop to warm up.

The workout was a bit more tough,we started with 10 push ups,10 sit ups,10 squats repeated twice and then a 1/4 mile sprint, for 35 minutes and then we cooled down and got our picture taken by Allison from the Neighbors edition of The Dallas Morning News!

Hopefully you guys will see some photos of the older kids at the end of our gruelling workout!

Hats off to both groups of kids for working hard and putting up with me!

I will be relentless in my efforts to educate and empower your children to the importance of proper nutrition and exercise as "A WAY OF LIFE"

Oh yeah, make sure the kids do the homework I left with each and everyone of them!

They know what to do,I TELL THEM EVERY DAY!

Thanx for tuning in!

Rainy days on Monday always get me amped to workout with the kids!

Whats up!
Well as you all know we are getting a bit of rain but that will never slow us down!

We started today's small fry class in the gym with a great warm up of line runs and jumping jacks followed by some bear crawls and a jogging loop or four!

Then we went out in the rain and played a crazy game of your it,but this game was a bit different from the norm.
This game was the one that all the kids were it and it was complete chaos, for the simple fact that it started pouring down rain and thundering and a little bit of lightning.

Do you think the kids wanted to go in because they were scared? Absolutely not!

We stayed out for a good while and eventually went in and dried off and finished the workout with some yoga and some meditation!

GREAT TIMES!

Round Two with the big kiddos was GREAT as well!

We did our first resistance training workout inside with some free weights and also the smith press(the fixed barbell machine) to work on shoulders!

Some people might be thinking those kids are to young to be lifting weights!

They might damage there growth plates!

Kids cant be introduced soon enough to weights,if taught proper technique!

I have been working with weights with my kids since they popped out of the womb!

This is not my opinion this is a fact that I have researched for some time!

Kids that work out with weights will develop stronger muscles and joints and this will also help with sports and everyday life as well, not to mention helping fight osteoporosis for girls as they grow into womanhood, the list is endless!

So keep pumping the iron, the more lean muscle you have the more effectively your body works!

If you are looking for the proverbial fountain of youth, here it is EAT WELL AND EXERCISE!

Until next time,EAT CLEAN TO STAY LEAN!

New commers

Hello everyone,What a great day we had yesterday!

Super big thanks to Katie for coming out and taking some great photos that will be up on the blog, and face book and the website, be on the lookout!

I even think we got a shot of the actual workout sheet so you will see why the kids were tired!

Met a couple of families and a bunch of kids just hanging around and got them involved hope they had as much fun as I did!

I know for a fact that whomever participated got one heck of a workout,I think even the moms and dads got tired just watching!

Thank you to everyone for all of the help along the way hold on to your hats because the ride has only just begun!

Keep tuning in more great stuff from ALL KIDS FIT!

Happy Monday!

Good morning everyone!

We had a little rain this morning but we were not scared! Our first group of kids got right out and embraced the cool weather, the little rain drops that were fallin on our heads were a welcomed surprise!

First off we started with a geat dynamic warmup jogging in place, arm circles, bodyweight squats, and a couple others to get the blood flowing!

Then we played with some dice and the Fit Deck Jr. today.

For those of you who dont know what Fit Deck Jr. is,it is a deck of cards with different exercises on it.So I brought some dice and we had the kiddos roll the dice and pick a card whatever number they got that was how many reps of the exercise on the card we would do!

We also did a few hill sprints to end the workout!

Hats off to the small frys for pushing hard and playing in the rain with me!

Our older crew had it a bit tougher

All Kids Fit Fun For All at Camp Broken Arrow!

Whats up!
Just wanted to let the Counselors and the CITS at Camp Broken Arrow at the Town North Family YMCA know that we had a great time today working with them and all of the great kids who participated in our All Kids Fit Fitness FUN FOR ALL!!

Kat,thank you for a wonderful opportunity to enlighten the children to the importance of fitness and fun but most of all to the importance of a well balanced and nutritious breakfast to start the day, especially if they are going to be exercising first thing in the morning!

Today talking with the all the kids it made it even more apparent to me, its time we start educating our children to the fact that Tony The Tiger is not GREEEAT, nor are any of the other ridiculous characters "THEY" use to lure our kids in to ask us to buy. Those very products that are destroying our families, kids and adults alike.

Just because kids play sports and are active and there metabolism is high, its not always going to be the case, and what have we taught them about proper nutrition?

We love you but we don't have time to feed you what you should be eating, to grow up and be the best you can be so lets just settle for what "They" say is good.

I am here not only to tell you, but to show you, that eating healthy is not expensive it is not time consuming its quite the opposite.Especially if you look at the long term affects of what that garbage will do to you not only physically but emotionally as well!

If you don't believe me we will personally show you how easy it is to be successful when it comes to kicking the habit of fast and junk food.

Its about time to take back our kids and our lives and help is just a phone call away!

Dont wait another moment longer!

Thank you for listening!

Another Great couple of Kids Camps!!

Whats up everyone!

It was a little to hot for the small frys so we stayed in and worked out on the sport wall today,I will post the video later!

The Big kids got a great workout in the hot sun though, I thought I heard Camile who was a special guest today say "her legs were numb' in a good way of course.

Riley pushed a little to hard and did not eat today and had to sit out most of the class but what she did do she did well!

I cant stress enough the importance of proper nutrition and hydration 1 hour prior to working out and immediatly after working out(as soon as they get home)

This will help keep there metabolsim high and suppot lean muscle growth, wich in turn supports fat loss and increases strength and endurance!

The kids should have some sort of compex carbohydrate, coupled with a good protien source as well.(apple, bannana, nuts, all natural peanutbutter, to name a few things)

If you have any questions as it pertains to the childrens or your own nutrition please feel free to call,I will be more than happy to help!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Monica shaves 1:55 off her mile time!

Hello all!

First I must commend Monica Ferguson on an outstanding effort today at our 7 and up kids camp!

Monica who is 11years old shaved a 1:55 of her mile time from last week by pushing herself extremely hard, that isnt an easy task to accomplish in only a weeks time ,but she did it!

So Monica, that proves you can do anything you set your mind to,GREAT JOB!

I would have great things to say about the rest of the class but it was just the two of us today.

One more thing the actual workout was pretty gruelling as well and she really pushed and gave it her all for that part to.

We did 4 sets of 30 second whistle sprints to start followed by a 25 yard bear crawl down,25 sit ups, back followed by 20 mountain climbers rest a minute, crabwalk 25 yards down, 20 medicine ball chops right, crabwalk back 25 yards20 medicine ball chops left, rest a minute and ended with 5 minutes of abbs!

You should be proud of the awesome job you did today!

All Kids Fit Camp - Hill Sprints

I hope all of the parents and kids enjoy our first of many videos to come!

All Kids Fit Camps are a great crosstrain for all young atheletes, none atheletes and up and commers as well, hill sprints are a great way to build strength in kids legs!

The best part, and to me the most important part, is the kids are having fun!

I truly believe that we cant introduce our children to fitness and great nutritional habits soon enough!

Talk to you all soon!
